Keep your receipt !!! I was with a group of about seven people. The check came and gratuity was already added. After my debit transaction posted to my account, I noticed that the amount was another $3.00. I did not leave a tip as this was already calculated on my bill. I thought this happened last time, but I had lost the receipt, and could not verify this. I hate to cry over $3.00, but that is money I earned and she did not. Good location / atmosphere, decent food – Pretty cool place on the inside, especially if you're into the sports bar thing. The pizza sauce, though, seems watered down, although it tastes good. We got a french bread pizza once, and the bread was soggy from the watery sauce. I also ordered wings, and the blue cheese was more like blue milk. Kinda gross. The wings were a bit dry, too, but maybe I just like a lot of sauce. Lots of options for pizza toppings, though, so that's a plus.

Satisfaction is a bit of a dive, and if you're a college sports fan wearing the wrong shade of blue you might feel uncomfortable in the depths of Duke territory, but it's a great place for a bar lunch. My favorites are the fried appetizers that come with "Sat" sauce (ranch dressing) - fried mushrooms and jalapeno poppers. The gyro sandwich is also delightful.

Good Sports & Bad Service – Satisfaction is a good place to watch a variety of sports on lots of TV. The pizza is mediocre - there are many much much better places for pizza in Durham. We experienced poor service (took 15 min to notice our arrival, 15 minutes to get our first drink, and our pizza was delivered initially to the adjacent table), I'll qualify this by saying we came to the conclusion that it must be our waiter's first week as waitstaff. great place to watch sports... And have great pizza and beer! Thursday nights are "big beer" night so it's great for a small budget! The atmosphere is fun and Sati's is a great place to go to watch any sport- there are several tvs and they always have different games on!
Good food, good bar. Satty's is right on the edge of the upscale area of almost-downtown Durham--Brightleaf Sq. Great sports bar, pretty good takeout, also a nice busy place to eat in-restaurant-style.
I would have to be drunk... – My husband and I, along with our two year old stopped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday. My husband had been here for lunch previously and said the sandwiches were good. This place had terrible service. Our server was much more concerned about the big party next to us that guaranteed an 18% tip and large alcohol tab to be attentive to our little table of 3. Terrible Management, nastier food. – My daughter went there today.....she and two friends. They were charged gratuity even though the menu clearly states parties of six or more or checks over 75.00. When she asked why the management told her, "because we can!" We teach our daughter to tip as I was in food service for over 20 years. She was told teenagers don't tip....while this may be true you cannot punish one for the actions of others. My husband called Staten....the so-called manager......He hung up on him!
