There was a man in Brooklyn named Alwaan (not sure of the spelling) who shipped world-wide and whose pastries were poetry to eat. I vividly remember the flavors, and I have never found anyone who could equal his skill in baking. Sarkis Pastry comes very close. Absolutely outstanding!
