Dr. John Sarkaria is a wonderful doctor but his front office staff named Elba is very inefficient with attitude problems. Dr. Sarkaria has no portal. They do not accept electronic messages from the pharmacy and insist for paper faxes. Those faxes when sent get lost. After struggling and suffering for long time, I finally moved to another PCP.
The doctor is excellent but the support staff, particularly the front office is pathetic.
I asked the office manager several times to send my prescription over for my CPAP machine to the supplier. I called his office and was told the office manager was out until next week. There was no one else that could do this until they returned. I do not have a CPAP machine so I have to take the chance I do not die before next week.
Went in for my daughter’s physical. This doctor has no idea of the real medical profession. He barely looked at my daughter, and missed her heart murmur!! I didn’t tell him to see if he would hear it! Medicine has completely lost its mark on the real practice of helping... and work of on the “agenda” of big pharmaceutical! If you know, you know.
My time with Dr. Sarkaria as my primary care physician was a horrible experience. Highly incompetent. He tells me a normal blood pressure reading is 110/60 and that I should think about increasing my meds to bring it down to that level. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. I spend five days in the hospital with an infection. The doctor assigned to my case told me to get a referral to see a gastroenterologist after I get discharged because my liver enzymes were through the roof. I worked for a primary care physician for 27 years so I am aware of how a doctor's office should be run. Dr. Sarkaria and is staff are excellent, caring and accommodating. I have never had anything wrong with me until this year was diagnosed with a mitral valve problem. They have made me comfortable dealing with this problem and I am grateful he is my doctor. As usual, took the time to listen to my issues, reviewed my medical records, and got me the proper medication.
An all around excellent physician. If anyone asks for a "doctor referral", Dr. Sarkaria's name is first in my mind.
Dr Sarkaria has been our family GP for more than 20 years. He has become a trusted and interested advisor. He continues to manage and coordinate our family's medical needs including serious illnesses and health issues as we have aged through the years.
