It's very unfortunate, but I've been paying HOA dues to Sargeant for 3 years, and my recent experience with their responsiveness to homeowner issues was terrible. I went away on vacation in July 2012, and there was a storm that caused my ceiling in one of my bedrooms to cave in due to the rain. The roofs on the units at Cinnimon Down the Street are flat and prone to issues. It took until October to have the mess cleaned up. Turned out to be a nightmare – Lived there 6 years and watched a great property horribly mismanaged. In the end trying to speak to the management about parties going to 3:30 am and beginning again at 6:am was met with a notice to vacate - by the party that went for help! Get ready to do your own repairs (we didn't have a single succesfull repair in 6 years), buy the materials for the repairs ("all apartment renters have to sweetie !"), and wonder if you've wandered into the private fiefdom of a rage-aholic. Ever Met a Bad Car Salesman – I moved into my unit which I thought as being a little to pricy for where I was staying. Was promised that I could get an air condition unit before moving in...and to park on the property would be another 50.00 on top of the 875.00 being paid for a two bedroom. The apartment wasn't even clean and when I asked for something more afordable they sent me to a place way on the west side of town that was basically a shack. Best Management Company we have had yet – I have lived at Cinnimon Down the Street for 10 years and have gone through three management companies. Of all of them, Sargent has been the most responsive and proactive. When I call, I get a live body. I prefer to communicate by email and I always get an immediate response. I think sometimes we forget that a management company responds to the guidance of a board, and we have an excellent volunteer board who has consistently done the best they can for our complex.

A horrible leasing experience – My experience with Sargent is not one I like to think about. I found my apartment in Denver for a great price with Cornerstone (cornerstoneapartments dot com). I was moving from Kansas City and doing things long distance is never easy, but Cornerstone did a great job and because of that, I knew I would always have responsive and concerned property managers.
