The people. The sailing FS midwinters. After getting away from 7 ' of snow in Boston how about the weather. Loved it.
Definitely a very unfriendly place overvthe last nimber of years. Older members who quit warned me. The squadron continues on with a rich person agenda towards a strictly racing only club. The respectful, kind, true sailors have been pushed out. Replaced by so called sailors that have little or now respect for others. Problems with the squadron on the bay is continue to develope due to poor seaman ship. Definitely not a place for true sailors. A very mean place now.
The best sailing club hands down. Great people always doing whatever they can to grow the great sport of sailing.

The best place in Sarasota to sail and hangout with friends. Not a yacht club, but a casual place to relax and enjoy Sarasota Bay.
Truly, the SSS is the best kept secret in Sarasota! It is a great place for our family--both for the sailing and for enjoying the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and the beauty of the Bay.
