We are so deeply grateful to the entire team at Tidewell Hospice House for the compassion, dignity, and tenderness they showed my mom in her final chapter. From the day she arrived in March 2025, every single person we encountered - nurses, aides, volunteers, everyone - treated her with love and a spirit of compassion that never wavered. My mother passed away early this morning at this Tidewel location and I cannot thank every single person that I came in contact with their, from Susan to Jamie to Annette, and more, for their care and their compassion towards my mother and my family. Truly a very compassionate place and my mother went very very peacefully with no pain. Thank tidewell!
It's taken me about a year to put this review up, it's been tough but my husband only had about 2 days there but myself and my children were very touched by their kindness,the way they respected my husband,they were gentle & just wonderful! I'm grateful for the entire staff and also the way they helped me find a funeral place that considered our financial situation,I don't think I could have handled that alone,God Bless the staff at Tidewell
I found the nurses to be rude, entitled and indifferent. They only respond when you push the button that the patient is holding in case of emergencies. If you walk out into the hallway to seek assistance - sometimes urgently - then you are being a nuisance to them and they roll their eyes. I mean, people are watching their parents die here. And they act like you’re being a nuisance to them. Inexcusable.
I give this a 1 star review because I am unable to give it no stars. My father was at the hospice house for one day and it was the most horrific thing I experienced they sedated him so much he could no longer talk to us. He left our house talking to us. The nurses were rude and pushy and even when he was sedated on over the max of what they were supposed to give him they came in to give him more pushing and forcing my mother to agree to this.
