My wife was referred to Dr. George by a previous associate of hers who is now our primary care. She told us to take comfort, Dr. George is one of the best. The comments left by people scared me, but I trusted the MD who referred us so we went anyway with the thought that if we saw any of the characteristics described in these posts, we would leave. I have to say Dr. George was thorough, patient, kind, empathetic, and ordered immediate tests that showed something we weren’t anticipating but may have saved her life. I find it ... read more
Rude and Mean Spirited I used her for my fight with breast cancer I would never recommend her I could elaborate with details, but I won't

I left Dr. George's care following one year as a cancer patient. Every appointment she kept me waiting, then only to breeze in and out of the exam room like some emotionless robotic thing. NO BEDSIDE MANNER WHATSOEVER !!! At times she even gave off the strong impression that she was gracing me somehow with her high and mighty presence. Call it old fashioned maybe, but I would prefer a doctor bearing human qualities, especially concerning cancer. Thank God, I found one. That alone helps.

Excellent physician always kind and attentive
She does not care about me or probably any other patient. She has a sweet smile but it is not genuine. I was diagnosed with cancer and was to begin chemo. I was scared and curious but she did not have time for me and made it clear in each appointment. She rushed me out and seemed put off to have to be there. She never answered my questions clearly or with concern for my well being. She made me wait in her exam room for two hours the meeting just before my chemo and was rude and abrupt.
My first appt with Dr. George was very thorough and well explained, however during my follow up appt I felt like she was in a rush or her focus was elsewhere rather than on me, the patient. Her attitude is that she is the doc and knows best, rather than listen to my concerns and what I had to say first ... I have since transferred doctors as I want someone who takes the time to listen and is caring before making decisions rather than treat me like a number and rush through the appointment.
I didn't understand what exactly was wrong with me and what the proper treatment was. I ended up being on warfarin over four years that was causing me to have bad side effects from the drug. I ended up going to another hematologist for a consult and he advised that he did not see from my records why I was put on warfarin in the first place. My new hematologist did a complete bloodwork on me an advised me to make a follow-up appointment with him. He told me to stop taking warfarin.
