After being in chronic pain for months, I went in to hopefully she’d some light on my foot neuropathy and have a small fiber biopsy done. Dr Shuler started our conversation with an oddly aggressive posture and even at one point said “I don’t know why your here.” And would reply to things I said with “who told you that??” - the conversation was so harsh, after saying “yea I can’t help you” I couldn’t help myself from crying. It was only at this point she started administering basic neurological function tests and then prescri... read more
very good/down to earth
The first thing Dr. Shuler said to me was that she would not be able to diagnose me. Over the course of our extremely short appointment, it became clear that she had not read past the first line of my chart, and she did not have it with her. While speaking, she talked over me numerous times and was dismissive of my concerns. The office seems disorganized, and I had to message them multiple times before they tracked down my radiology reports. When the results of my imaging came back, it was impossible to talk with Dr. Shuler ... read more
Dr. Shuler is one of the first doctors I've ever had who I felt really genuinely cared about my overall wellbeing. I've been seeing her in treatment for narcolepsy and she's been pushing the insurance company so hard to give me the meds I need, I know lots of doctors would not want to to deal with the trouble and tell me to suck it up so I feel very lucky to have found her.
She shows no concern hardly at all. I have more than one neurology problem, but she does not show any interest except one. All she does I’d get you in and out!
She does not have a very good bedside manner , and is very flipped and rude at times , I would not recommend her as a Dr. My mother has dememtia and I bring my mother to her appts . she will ask her questions without consulting with me afterwards . My mother is not really able to answer her question honestly because she is suffering from this illness .
Dr. Schuler seemed knowledgeable, but also that she wanted to get through the appointment as fast as possible, repeatedly interrupting me - even when trying to answer her questions. She said that her MRI orders never get denied - but her MRI order was denied.
Dr. Shuler is a doctor who listens and wants to be a part of helping with your health situation. And when someone is in bad health that means a lot to us.
Dr. Shuler is an excellent doctor. She listens to your concerns and advises you as to the treatments available. If you're in the need of a Neurologist, I don't believe you'll find a better one anywhere around. I've had other Neurologist in the area, with equally high ratings, but she is much better than the others I've had.
