My mom took her mangalsutra that she has been wearing for 37+ years to fix a broken chain. They charge $25 to "fix" it - fine. She takes it home only to discover that a diamond has been removed. Not once in 37 years has a diamond ever fallen out of this necklace but somehow, magically, it disappears when she left it here for 30 minutes.
