Referral process through Fort Hood is lousy. However making appointment on my own, using Tricare West and skipping BSW referral office works great. Finding a provider using BSW connect worked way better as I was able to get an earlier date, choose date/time/location, and cut out the middle man. BSW referrals and Fort Hood referrals add unnecessary layers of bureaucracy that delay care for the Veteran, insert a two-week processing time, attempt to justify a referral position within the network, and create havoc for the Vetera... read more
I absolutely love the Salado clinic. The staff, Dr. Eakin, and the other doctors are completely compassionate towards your needs.
Dr Eakin was kind and very informative. This was my first visit with her and I was impressed that she had taken the time to look over my medical history before meeting with me. I live in Temple, but do not mind driving to Salado to get quality care.
