I am dissatisfied with the care that I have received at Ascension with Dr. Santos. When I voiced my concerns regarding my health she utterly disregarded them and had no empathy. In addition to the her disrespectful manner, Santos tried to push a vaccine on me. I informed her that I recently had my first covid vaccine prior to that. It was my 6 month review. I always enjoy my visits with Dr. Santos. She is thorough, well informed and explains in a manner I totally understand and I love it.
I went in to see Dr. Santos for the first time today and after the treatment I received today, I will not be returning. She has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. I was giving her my health background and the chronic pain that I have suffered for the last 10 years of my life due to arthritis in my back. She verbally attacked me and treated me like a criminal. I never once asked to be prescribed opioids and she accused me of coming into the clinic for that purpose!!
This MD is one of the most unfortunate results of a human being having the intelligence to finish medical school with the compassion of a crocodile. I am an experienced RN who has had to deal with sorry excuse of a doctor in regards to aging parents. She not only lacks compassion, she lacks the ability to critically think. This makes for dangerous consequences for her patients.
This Dr has few patient relation skills. If you are overweight she will treat you poorly. I asked for help with weigjtloss and she assumed I was asking for diet pills without asking what I needed. I was late by 10 minutes for a physical I had to book 4 months in advance. My dog had an accident I had to clean up at home and the check-in at the clinic took 10 minutes or more. Her nurse came out of the waiting room to tell me dr wouldn't see me. Nurse was clearly frustrated with the decision.
