I was a phlebotomist at Santa Rosa Medical Center for a couple of years before becoming critically ill and having to take a leave from work. I’ve literally been treated like garbage by the HR department as well as phlebotomy supervisor. I bent over backwards for this place only to be treated horribly while being sick and not able to work. Any other hospital I’ve ever worked at I’ve never seen any employee get treated the way that this place has treated me. I was unaware that on a Sunday my father took my mother to santa rosa hospital for a cough she had.My father stayed with her until around 1:00am.When he left he said she seemed fine ,no symptons,therefore he was going home to get some rest.Approx FOUR hours later (4::30 am)the santa rosa sheriffs office was BEATING on his door to inform him that my mother was dead due to a heart attach.You would think taking your loved one to a hospital that she would be safe ,but not this hospital.I wouldn't take my dog to this place.if I h... read more

This place is not adequate to take care of anyone in this area. The care is below subpar on many levels. The nursing director and charge nurse on a certain floor need retraining or not work as leaders in this field. They made so many mistakes that I didn’t feel safe being in their care. It’s sad when you can’t trust the facility staff who suppose to be taking care of you when you’re extremely sick and vulnerable. Just stay away if you want to live… drive to Pensacola!! It’s worth your life and time.
