Update: $948.32 will you get you an xray, a medical simulation by a med student and a provider with zero insights / guidance. Do not go. Find a trusted referral. Also I have a PPO. They billed an extra “ancillary”service for $250 because that’s what healthcare systems do. Almost $1,000 for the worst clinical visit of my life. Horrible experience. Horrible patient care or no patient support prior to surgery. To try and get chart orders for a pre-op for an internist this month for surgery with Dr. Sassoon in August is something I should not have to address. I sent a message to my chart which is horrible and got virtually no response just stating a letter from his assistant that a letter was being sent. Called three times to the general number for Orth to be hung up on or transferred to oblivion and trust me no patient care from the orthopedist, with surgery 6 months ou... read more
Horrible experience. I had an np who didn’t even introduce herself named Shahrzad. I asked who my appointment was with before hand and they said dr Derek altema. I don’t care if anyone is np or pa and I’ve seen a pa exclusively for the last 10 years but this one was so bad. A med student did my evaluation and I felt like a classroom simulation. They gave me zero guidance and didn’t understand my hamstring issue at all. I will never go back to anything ucla affiliated given how horrible this experience was.
I received the best medical treatment at this orthopedic clinic. The walk-in service and the possibility to book a same-day appointment are absolutely invaluable for anyone in need of urgent care – and it’s the only clinic in the city that offers this service!
