I had a short consult with a doctor and received a bill for over $400. My insurance explained that no code reason was included for my visit when the claim was filed, and I have spent all day bouncing back and forth between different people a CSV that can't help me. I would recommend avoiding this place. They didn't help me medically and didn't bill my insurance correctly, and nobody will help. As far as I am concerned, this is fraud.
I am s 62 year old female who is on oxygen 24/7. I currently have a bulging disc on my 5th lumbar and have been in pain with my sciatica for 7 months. I was referred to Christus for a epidural. From the minute I walked in there I was treated like a drug addict just looking for pills. The Dr. I saw was Pamela Burks. Once again, treated like all I wanted was drugs. EDITED TO ADD: I have now documented abusive billing practices like this with 4 other people in my community who have suffered and had to pay $100s in hidden charges, never winning the "recode" battle. Two of them let it go to collections on principle. And to the "owner" who responded to my review with billing office phone numbers - Gee, Thanks. just wanted to say thank you to p burkes. I needed a refill becausde i am in so much pain and she refilled my medication. Its so hard to get pain meds because people thing your drug seeking. Thank you so much for the relief God bless you
I went in for a 10 minute consult with a nurse. She gave me a referral for an MRI. Later I was told that I owed 500 dollars out of pocket and that they don't accept insurance. Apparently I signed a form when I arrived with very fine print stating this. Their logo clearly makes it look like they are under the umbrella of Christus St Vincent, and all of their other clinics DO accept my insurance.
