Let me see if I've got this straight. The RTC wants to have a commuter train, but INSTEAD, is on the brink of entering into a contract with a freight train company. Progressive Rail moves freight, not people. What freight? Great question! No one knows- including the RTC. So now we have a freight train carrying ??? on a corridor through our neighborhoods. After spending time in dialogue and study with the RTC staff, I am impressed with their capability, their vision and tenacity, and their commitment to serve the vast diversity of interests in our community. The RTC commissioners and staff have done a great job of doing what voters asked when they approved prop 116 - find a way to make passenger rail work in SCC. They have included plans for an amazing rail trail. Over a decade of careful planning with regular inputs from the community along the way - great job RTC!
