With property crime, homelessness and drug use running rampant in our community what does Guy Preston the head of the RTC do? He demands criminal proceedings and law enforcement to investigate a community organizer who was clearing brush off the trail and repairing walkways on trestles because the RTC is incapable of upkeeping the rail, except for trolley demos and publicity stunts to patch up areas for photo ops. It’s obvious that this illustrious group of people have their own “agenda” in regards to a train. It’s very disappointing that the RTC is not discussing the additional taxes that we will have to pay to fund the train folly. I think we need to follow the money.
Please RESPOND to our questions, concerns honestly and completely, and acknowledge that AT LEAST half of the public tells you we want LIGHT, innovative small-footprint transit next, but a TRAIL asap.
Move forward with advocating transportation improvements that are effective and AFFORDABLE. Most important - "move forward with implementation"..
RecommendedI hold the RTC staff in high esteem. They manage to turn out quality work despite the constant harassment they have to endure from people who are negative towards transit on the rail line.
