Warning! Like so many others, this hospital and it's doctors no longer treat pain unless you're one of the fortunate few or part of the elite. I'm sure they get whatever they need. If you're in pain, they don't believe you or even care and you're treated rudely with suspicion as if you're a criminal. They'll generously offer Tylenol, which I guess is standard now. Beware and be prepared to suffer!

The process of getting into the ER feels like being booked for jail. It is a strange feeling, almost as if you are shamed for being there. My doctor was lovely, everyone else was not. The PCT that took me to get my CT threw the remote on me when I said I didn’t want to get up, I was in so much pain I just wanted him to roll the bed. It really seemed to irritate him to have to roll the bed. He was young and blonde and tan. People are having one of their worst days when they go to the ER. Not the best hospital it could be. Too much focus on expanding, buying new technology, buying up other facilities, looking and sounding good to boards and corporation. They need constant training to remind them what they sell: care! If they forget their mandate...to help people who hurt and are not in normal circumstances...they are merely over the counter salespeople. Hear this: TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN and I don t mean update your credentials. I mean listen and attend EVERY patient, even the difficult ones, with exquisite care ... read more
