Would not recommend Sanford in Mitchell for OB. Very rude nurse at my visit. Also, had a lab draw and they put someone else’s demographics on my blood. Staff would also question me about my insurance even though I had two insurances and the one worked well with Sanford. I will now be going to Sanford in Sioux Falls only from now on but it is unfortunate since the Mitchell clinic is closer for me.
I would give less than one star if possible. Just go to Sioux Falls if the only provider is Dr. Derek Ferrie! I did file a formal complaint but wanted to send a warning for others. I was seen for a fainting spell a couple of months ago. He was a provider I could be seen by the soonest. At my first appointment, he was quite off putting and seemed to not express any concern or general human decency for the situation. We did bloodwork and scheduled a follow up. Just another failure in the American health care system. Have been seen in the past but since I've been otherwise healthy over the last 5 years, I had to be reinstated as a "new" patient and apparently that comes with added fees. Thanks alot guys money hungry greedy group of people.
I wouldnt recommend them to no one I can’t get in to see my doctor at Avera so I called to get seen here cause I need antibiotics for a infection and the person wouldn’t take me seriously all she had to say was wait until 12 for urgent care to open. Would if it gets worse by then I wouldn’t come here to save my life I thought Sanford would be like the one in Sioux Falls who treated me good but I was wrong. This is why people end up dying and hurt because no one takes them seriously and you just get to get away with it. Shame... read more
It's an OK place, but Dr.Faerie's not what you'd call all that friendly. Maybe he's a bit overworked, but my old doctor, Sarah Ruter, in Sioux Falls before I moved away, was an absolute gem. Plus, anything of a serious nature requires you drive all the way to Sioux Falls to get it done, which to me is pretty redundant. Mitchell is a port in a storm, that's all.
