As a student, volunteering with these people has been a nightmare. They are absolutely unprofessional in every sense. I recommend staying away from Sanford Center at UNR.

As a somewhat isolated senior, the Center’s programs opened a door for me to socialize in a safe, learning environment. The three group programs dealing with balance, avoiding falls, and general strengthening of under used muscles, have all helped to (literally) build a strong foundation for me to live a healthier, stronger, and safer life. They get you to confide in them then they threaten to turn you in for elder abuse if you don’t commit your loved one to a facility or provide 24 hour care $$. DON’T TRUST THEM

I met with a group of caring and professional people at the Sanford Center for Aging. They questioned me to learn my needs and then provided a wealth of information geared towards my goal to enjoy my life while navigating Reno's medical community. Thank you. .
