My cat has a urinary blockage. If he’s left untreated he will die but it’s will cost thousands to treat, which I don’t have. I have been exhausting every possible source and option to save him. I called this vet to see if it were a possible option to get everything I needed to be able to treat him at home, even if it is unorthodox, because if I can’t at least try he absolutely will die. The vet said they couldn’t do that, which as horrible as I feel I understood. She reiterated that he needs to be taken to the hospital or he... read more
Business response:
Valerie - we are very happy your cat is doing much better, but please understand there are no over the counter medications or food that break up a true urinary blockage and also please understand that it is unethical for us to recommend any kind of treatment for an animal in which we have never seen in our practice and do not have a diagnosis for. In our experience, if any cat truly had a urinary blockage for 4+ days there is no way they would survive that without hospitalization and treatment- so fortunately for you and you... read more
The staff here are amazing. Dr. J and Dr. Walsh completed a surgery on my dog Jack and they did an amazing job. The Veterinarians made sure that Jack was good and showed a lot of care for him. I also want to recognize the vet techs for caring for Jack after his surgery. I highly recommend this Vet clinic and I'm very grateful for all they have done for Jack and us.
I recently lost my pet Waffles because of blockage and it took a whole week of helping him get better but he blocked immediately after he was sent home. These great people did everything they could and put up with me calling every 2 hours of them being open. They were honest, nice, helpful and quick. After I lost my sweet cat, they sent a card with a hand written "sorry for your loss" and signatures of the docs and nurses. I cried. It was thoughtful. I recommend this hospital to anyone who needs peace of mind while going thr... read more
I cannot reccomend them enough! They are caring ,compassionate and just overall great people. From my experience they actually love animals not sse them just as money as some places do. Good honest caring people who truly do have a special love for animals they are amazing people and I'm thankful for them ❤️
Wonderful folks with true compassion for animals and their human families.
My dog, Axel, loves to go to "the doctor"! They treat him like royalty and he gets the very best care possible. Recently, he had a torn ACL. I thought there was nothing I could do - surgery is so expensive, and I couldn't afford that. They were quick to recommend an affordable treatment, and there was "no judging" because I didn't do it. Sanford Animal Hospital is great, with the latest in technology and the nicest people!
