I spent 30 minutes putting in an appointment as a new born as a follow up. I get a call after setting up the appointment which was confirmed to be taking new patients. Apron answering I hear "it's a 2 day old" and was told that they are in fact not accepting new appointments, and to talk with the Dr that delivered the baby. What a idiotic comment, because the attending pediatrician in the hospital is the one saying we need to find a primary care pediatrician. I called last Friday looking for an appointment quickly. We needed a PCP referral for our daughter to see orthopedics for a cast. Our existing PCP couldn’t see us until the following Friday which prompted me to seek a new medical provider. After spending nearly an hour on the phone going over all the insurance information and explaining the situation, this office gave me an appointment for the following Monday (today). I had a new patient appointment just a few days ago with Dr. Rodriguez to get a second opinion on some ongoing issues with my daughter. Not only did the nurse put forward significant time and effort to make my daughter feel welcomed and safe (she even helped her take vital signs on her security blanket). Dr. Rodriguez met my concerns with such compassion and seriousness. I in no way felt rushed and I could tell she truly was listening to every word. She has been my kids doctor from birth and we absolutely love her! Dr. Rodriguez is very personable and I always feel like I am being listened to. We love her nursing staff as well, my kids are happy to see her, even if she is the one giving out shots.
