I went to Sandra hair center for a wash and set. My hair is natural. I have been natural for over ten years. I had just taken down 4 braids. Ana washed my hair which was great. But the Detangling is another story she was very ruff. Im hoping my hair didnt break off or she pulled my hair out. She blew my hair very straight. My hair never gets that straight. Im hoping she didn't put any chemicals in my hair or cause heat damage. My scalp is very tender.
I was surcharged $40 for my hair texture, just to blow dry w/ no wash included. It was racially charged due to my hair texture , for reference the demographic they serve have similar hair textures to mine. If you cannot serve the general population please do not open businesses here, it’s very anti black!
I Have known Sandra for over 20+ plus years.When she was located on 115th Street in harlem.Even though she moved around various places.When she moved i followed her up until she opened up her own Hair Salon Center on 2445 2nd Ave.Sandra & Staff are absolutely the best!
I started going to Sandra over 20 years ago When she was over on 115th St. When she first started her own salon in Brooklyn, I lost contact with her. One day in Manhattan I saw a girl on the bus and I asked her where she got her hair done and she told me 124th on 2nd Avenue I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Sandra all over again, that was about 8 years ago and I haven’t stopped going since. If you need magic hands on your head, please check this spot out. You will not regret it.
