I had an AF cryoablation surgery through Dr Sanders. Although he told me he was present during the surgery I think most of the operation was carried out by his less experienced staff. Four years later and I'm back in atrial fibrillation and it is significantly worse than before the operation. Unfortunately, it was deemed a success at the time but four years later I'm having to search for another electrophysiologist to put out this forest fire...
Prof Sanders is a very experienced doctor, I have all the praise for him and his clinic, he always met me with a smile, professionalism and gave me all the time I needed. Never once did I feel rushed or not cared about. His communication is excellent and he’s so talentented and knowledgeable. The 1st ablation by Professor Sanders put me in intensive care for 3 days and hospital for a week resulting from a completely avoidable, disclosed and known issue. The 2nd ablation made things considerably worse. Now I am reliant on medication that I previously wasn't and all the side effects that go with that. During this long and agonising procedure I was treated like a car on a hoist, not a human being.
