Less than 30 days after my friend bought a used Explorer from Sanders' in Swansboro, the engine was running hot. After discussing it with a couple mechanic friends, they felt it was the water pump. She took it to Sanders' service department because it requires special equipment. They didn't feel this was the issue and did a diagnostic check. They found other issues and charged $1,548.
