Had a wonderful family weekend INCLUDING the Wilderness waterpark. It was a beautiful location, had all of the needed amenities, and service was fantastic/easy to reach. We look forward to coming back again!
Our stay at the Seth Peterson Cottage was absolutely amazing! The location feels very secluded and remote - yet is close enough to town for any necessities during your stay. The cottage itself was fantastic. Very clean for how rustic it felt. There are heated floors but the real warmth came from the fireplace in the center of the cabin. The Badgerado II is an excellent log home for a group gathering. It's clean, well maintained and a perfect location on Castle Rock lake.
We always love the solitude we experience while staying at the Seth Peterson Cottage on Mirror Lake. The setting is beautiful, the walks in the woods relaxing and when it's warm enough we like to take out the canoes and paddle on Mirror Lake. The kitchen is nice to cook in and this small home has almost everything you need. The bed (a full size) and shower are small, and you need to bring your own coffee, but other than that, it's paradise.
Nice place to get away from the city. Liked that dogs were welcome. Everything was as advertised. The biggest complaint (why I didn't rate this as a 5) is because the air conditioners are very noisy and squeal at a high pitch. Made it very hard to sleep-which is what your supposed to do on vacation. There is also a short step from the living room into the screened in porch area that is not marked and is a trip hazard. It really needs to be addressed. I would recommend this cottage if the air conditioners are fixed.
