I was at sanctuary for PHP for mental health and the best way to describe it is it's where hope goes to die. My first day was during the week, the nurse counted my meds in front of me and wrote down what needed to be refilled. They had my credit card and my insurance card but did not refill them which one is for heart failure and another one is for bipolar which helps me sleep too. I came into Sanctuary very lost. I had all this negative energy and I didn’t know how to use my voice. I didn’t know how to trust my voice. Diamond and I worked very hard together at piecing together my trauma and Diamond taught me that I can trust my own voice. I can use it to speak about what I need.
