I did EMDR with Dr. Sarah Chipps and it was life-changing. After a session, I would feel a distinct difference and she always helped me integrate afterwards. Doing EMDR really addressed my abandonment wound in a way nothing else has. She always handles things with such compassion.
Amazing concept and therapeutic treatment design. However, lack of effective supervision of less experienced/younger treatment providers ultimately results in miscommunication, spread of psychological misinformation, and great risk of potential harm to marginalized clients. Treatment program ultimately ineffective due to poor execution of a great idea.
Sanctuary was a godsend. We were able to get my family member the care they needed. Trauma is so tough, not only on the person who experienced it, but for the people who love them. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is suffering and needs help.
