Rusty is extremely caring, knowledgeable, and down to earth. His hands-on and informitive approach make for an extremely comforting experience. He sat on the floor with us explaining every aspect of our 12 year old lab's situation. I love that he pulled out books and photos to teach us what was going on internally. I am an obsessive pet owner who wants to know everything I can about my sweet boy, and Rusty is exactly what I'd wanted to find in a veterinarian. He will be our pet doctor from here on out.
Rusty has a unique personality; when you talk to him, it is like talking to a friend and at the same time he will tell you about your animal's health using words that you understand. He knows his stuff and he jumps right in taking care of your animal (whether a pet or livestock)! He is trustworthy and compassionate, friendly and efficient! These are qualities that are hard to find in today's world!
RUSTY IS THE VERY BEST VET EVER! He used to be our vet when he was in Tooele, and we still miss him like crazy! :'( We have many pets (plus I do animal rescue & fostering), and he was so amazing with every single animal he helped us with (both small & large animals)! <3 I'm half tempted to still bring our pets to him (even from Grantsville). You're all very blessed here to have him here!!! :)
Rusty is in my opinion the greatest vet in America. I live in a motor home and travel around the country so I have dealt with a lot of vets . He puts the animals first and the money second. He sends me medication for my pets no matter where I'm staying - try and find that kind of service any where in America !!
I highly recommend Rusty and his staff based on the interest and treatment they provided for my Lassa Apso. The dog was a little over 7 years old when I first brought him to the SRVC. At the time the dog had a terrible skin condition which is common to the breed. After having taken the dog to a veterinary skin specialist in SLC with no remarkable improvement in his condition, I made an appointment with the SRVC. Very unprofessional. Went for a pre-purchase exam and instead of just doing his job he felt the need to degrade the breed of the horse stating he didn't feel that breed made a good beginners mount. The animal was very quiet and responsive despite his attempts to make him mad.
