The reason why this ER is so slow is because Native Americans who should be using IHS keep coming to Farmington. There are too many people in Farmington and the health care system cannot keep up with so many people here.
Went in for our baby who was nonstop crying for about 2 hours only to wait an another hour and 20 mins while our baby was screaming bloody murder (and the room smelt like RAW SEWAGE). We ended up leaving and going to exceptional community hospital where we got the help so quick. This ER is so mismanaged, higher ups need to help their staff and figure something out.
As a former EMT/firefighter of 10+ years I witnessed the ambulance driving through Flora Vista around 1315 on 08/11/2026 non emergent and yet using their electric horn and siren blasts to "demand" right of way. I can understand having circumstances requiring discretion of code 3 protocols (I. E, combative patients); however, these circumstances have work arounds to at least alert other motorists that they are still REQUESTING right of way (I. E. The wait time in this place is absolutely horrible there are 0 patients and this place has kept us waiting for so long when my mom had severe symptoms and pain in her stomach to the point where she couldn’t even walk. We need more emergency rooms or options in farmington because this place is truly ridiculous. We’ve been waiting for more than an hour waiting with only one person in the waiting room.
