Friendly staff, skilled dentist, excellent care
I am writing to formally report an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at San Jose Smile Center under Dr. Defaii. I traveled from New Jersey to California while experiencing severe dental pain and informed Dr. Defaii that I required an urgent root canal. Instead of addressing the immediate medical concern, he refused to proceed unless I first underwent a cleaning procedure, which cost $900. I trusted his judgment, assuming it was medically necessary. Dr Defaii is a friendly and professional dentist with a gentle hand. He prioritizes the patient’s best interest and comfort. The rest of his staff are also very friendly and helpful. Even though his office is across town, I still make the drive to go see him and would recommend to friends and family.
