Gorgeous & relaxing, great clean space for kids to run around.
I've never been, but hoping to one day go. I love gardening is one of my therapeutical moment's in life I enjoy. There is nothing better in life tgen life in its own, animals, and nature.
It's one of the best looking botanical gardens I have ever visited. One of the things that pleased is the diversity and the partitioning of the gardens, with enough space for relaxing or resting. Also, it is one of the largest botanical gardens that I visited so far.
I had a wonderful experience walking thru the different floral exibits. I particularly enjoyed the California native walk. It was so relaxing sitting by the water watching the baby ducks.
Beautiful day in a lovely garden park. The park attendees were helpful and informative. It is free for San Francisco residents, but a tad expensive for non-residents($8.00).
I appreciate the careful labelling of plants and information about cultivating various species. I especially enjoyed the California Natives garden and the info about butterfly habitat and lifecycle. A living classroom. It is an unparalled environment for enjoying nature and a respite from city life. There are plants from all over the globe from areas that are similar to California climates. Plan on three hours at least and go often throughout the seasons if you live in Bay Area.
