I had not been exposed to acupuncture before learning through family members of Dr. Uzi Chen at San Diego Sports Acupuncture. I have long suffered from a chronic back problem that is “unusual” in that is it neither sciatica nor a common disc issue, but a struggle I thought related to a partial knee replacement. Orthopedists had been of little to no use. The recommendation was not to be equalled, for I received superb care, and for the first time in years have found relief. Dr. Chen's knowledge of human anatomy and of the tec... read more

I heard about Sean Davis from a friend who's experienced great results for a back injury. I saw him for a hamstring injury. It resolved after three treatments. He's very knowledgeable and has a lot to offer with his Acupuncture and sports injury background. His work provides quicker results and a more complete healing of injuries than traditional Acupuncture. He's also skilled at checking for body alignment, making sure that there aren't other imbalances that need to be addressed. We're lucky to have Sean in San Diego.

I race Ironman 70.3s (age grouper), and have been dealing with recurrent calf strain issues since early 2023. Never have been able to run with the same confidence or speed since the initial injury as I'm always weary of flare ups and re-injury (multiple times), so training hasn't been the same. I've done PT, plyometrics, foam rolling, KT tape...you name it. I'll certainly keep up that preventative care, but acupuncture with Sean at SDSA was a game changer. After only one targeted session, I haven't had one flare up in my cal... read more

I started getting some acute neck and arm pain. Went to my normal primary care and he suggested I get physical therapy. I had a hunch it was a pinched nerve and that normal physical therapy probably wouldn't help, so I found Uzi through my healthcare provider's website. I am very glad I did. He thoroughly assessed my issue and communicated extremely well. He agreed that it was probably a pinched nerve (but couldn't confirm without imaging), so he went right to work. I basically went from not being able to type with my right ... read more

The best pain relief I have found! After suffering from nearly constant pain in my mid back for over a year, I was recommended to see Dr. Uzi by a coworker. As a massage therapist, I had tried nearly everything I could think of to alleviate the chronic pain I was having. I finally got over my aversion to needles and booked a session with Dr. Uzi, and I am so glad I did! He made me feel calm from start to finish. He did a very thorough assessment of my pain and movements before we got started with the needles. He made sure I ... read more
