I had my first appointment with a rheumatologist yesterday - boy am I glad it was Dr Soumya Rao! She was attentive, took all the time necessary, answered every question, even looked up compression gloves on Amazon for me! The wait time was 2 minutes after I got there and about 5 minutes in the exam room. She is wonderful and am so happy Palomar Health has her as our one and only rheumatologist!
88 yr old elderly patient had to wait over and hour in the exam room before being seen by Physician. Medical Assistant never stopped in every 15-20 min to let us know if there was going to be a delay. The front office processed the paper work and co-pay quickly, but the one hour wait in the exam room is unacceptable. Possiblly looking to find another RA doc.
