This is the worst office Ive been a patient of Dr Cruz for 20 yrs and now found out when I got to my scheduled appt for the year and was told they no longer take my insurance. I received no prior notice from this office as they are not trained or professional. Erica, the desk clerk ,couldn't even look up at me to tell me about insurance. I have heard many different stories so I don't recommend them by no means but also heard that they are taking this insurance when other patients. Sounds fishy to me. Office staff is unorganized, chaotic, and incapable of billing appropriately. The providers are lovely but clinic manager and staff are rude and uncaring.
The only star is the blend of 4 stars for the Doctors and negative 3 for the billing office. I want to second another Yelp review about the billing office on double billing us for appointments, not applying payments made, and forcing us to use a their portal which doesn’t help with complex issues. Dawn was nice in person when in the office, but after you leave the office the customer service is very disappointing. This doctor charges patients monitoring fees for their FreeStyle Libre 3 glucose monitors without patient knowledge. This practice then submits these charges to insurance which promptly declines payment, leaving the patient to foot the bill. These charges are often in the hundreds of dollars and patients are usually unaware of the balance until they show up for an appointment.
