I only like to write positive reviews, but I thought I was the only one who thought this place sucked. Glad I avoided a huge medical bill and left. Very rude front desk. They do not know how to deal with those who have a medial emergency. Completely different from the hospital which I think is

I should have read these reviews first. Came here at the recommendation of my primary care physician after an x-ray at another location. I already had a diagnosis. All I received was another verbal confirmation and a splint. They billed as an emergency room (>$1200) because it is “urgent care associated with a hospital”. Physicians and staff were nice enough, but NYU Langone should be ashamed of (or investigated for) this scam. I love NYU they helped me out a lot but this place is a scam. I asked staff several times if this place considered urgent care and they said yes we are urgent care. Because we don’t have the necessary equipment and diagnostic center to be considered emergency room. But yet they charged my insurance as an Emergency room. I went there for a knee pain. Don’t bother coming here if you’re a woman or POC, they’ll dismiss you and tell you to go home and RICE. I’m a professional dancer who came here after worsening instability following an ankle sprain, was seen by Dr. Kaitlyn Pustover who dismissed my concerns and said they would only look for fractures (false, my white friend received an ultrasound for her injury at this location).
