DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE Dr. Poppell was inattentive during my cataract surgery, talking about a car he had recently bought and he was in a hurry. He pulled the lens out too quickly and tore my retina. Another doctor had to drain the fluid out of my eye and repair the retina. A year later the lens Poppell had inserted fell inside my eye and a doctor had to go in and get it out and resew it back in place. complications On June 19th 2013, Dr Poppell performed a cataract surgery on my left eye. He tore the vitreous in the left eye causing a deformed pupil. He later blamed the complications on me and that I rubbed my eye the night after the surgery. Two other surgeons findings have found the tear occurred during Dr Poppell surgery.
