Ignore negative reviews. Dr. Peretsman is an extremely knowledgeable, very competent, urologist and has been doing HIFU treatments for years. When I had my HIFU treatment in 2009, no insurance covered it and it wasn't approved by the FDA for use in the USA, so I had to go to Germany and pay for it - totally out of pocket, myself. If there is a question about payment, it is most likely because of insurance coverage that may or may not pay for the procedure, which is expensive and you may be stuck with the bill. My husband's consultation with "Peretsman" as he kept referring to himself was on a Friday afternoon at 4pm. I don't know if it was because of this that he lacked any human decency, or if this is his general demeanor. We were mocked when we made statements concerning my husband's health. Nothing was explained to us. My copay should be sent to the folks that manufacture the HIFU brochure, because that was the only information we got about the procedure.
