I am from the New Roads/Baton Rouge area in Louisiana where you REALLY have to know how to cook and the food is better than New Orleans. Unfortunately, Virginia doesn't measure up when it comes to that type of cooking and there are no restaurants that I have come across that cone close and I have been here in Virginia for 17 years now. Really good fish and shrimp. We loved the hush puppies, too. The sauces were amazing!

I gave 1 star because the order of chicken wings were spoiled, rotten meat. I'm really upset about that. I tasted it in the 1st bite and had my husband try it without telling him so I would have an unbiased opinion. He came to me and said not to feed the kids the chicken because something is wrong with it, it tastes spoiled. This is coming from a man that will eat almost anything. They undercooked it so bad that there was raw parts in the food. I saw a roach on the floor near the kitchen. The cleaner was rude to me when I asked for a menu. Never complained back to this place.
