Very disappointed with the pizza. We ordered 2 pizzas to pickup. The BBQ pizza had so much sauce, the top completely slid off. The other special pizza was way to salty. The extra thin crust had the consistency of card board and was terrible. And the cost we felt was way to expensive for 2 medium pizzas. Must say we have eaten there before and the food was okay. Also not a real welcoming atmosphere.

I am sorry for your bad experience. On the issue of the Pizza being salty, we do not add any salt to any of our toppings or pizzas so this leads me to believe a naturally salty topping such as green olives or anchovies may have yielded that result. As for the toppings running off the pizza, if the pizza comes right out of the oven, and a customer places the pizza at any degree of a tilt in the car, the cheese and toppings will slide to one side. Good pizza but it would have been nice if it was what we ordered. Ordered sausage and cheese and got home with pepperoni and cheese.

I am NOT one to complain, but I will NOT be back to Sams Pizza on Harlem Rd in Machesney Park. The way I heard them treat their employee tonight was heart breaking. No human should talk to another like that over a BURNT PIZZA especially and for $30. After I got my food I made a comment and said "you guys should watch how you treat your employees" & walked out. We were there with a large group and were well taken care of. Although a holiday weekend, service was quite good. I had the Portobello Ravioli in Marsala Sauce. I thought I should only eat half, but really almost finished it because it was so good. My family had Veal Saltimboca (2) and Chicken Marsala and all agreed it was excellent. The pizzas looked amazing as did some of the seafood dishes. We will return anytime we are again in the area!
