I had a great time at Sam's Place in Solana Beach! – A friend invited me to Sam's Place in Solana Beach! I think it was a special event offered once a month. Mediterranean menu was offered. The meal included salad, eggplant Babaganoush, hummus & pita bread with wine. I had the lamb with rice & veggies and it was awesome. Long time customer My Husband and I have been enjoying Sam's Place for 16 years, we always go there before we go to a concert at Belly up or anywhere that Sam's is on the way too.It has always been Delicious we always get the Fish & Chips (Big white cod pieces) Combo with Shrimp and Sam's Fried Zucchini very good never ever greasy....Until the other day the fish was no way a Cod it was fishy and small like Tilapia and greasy.That was the first time we have ever disappointed.
Amazing fried chicken! This place is greek and american. I've been going here since 1988, and I have never ever been disappointed with the quality of the food or the friendly service! The place can hold about 10-20 people max. It is perfect for yummy (slightly greasy - but amazing) dinner!
Great fish and chips...amazing owner! – I have been eating at Sams for over 20 years. My mom has been a costumer since it opened. The food is great and the owner is amazing. He makes you feel like family. Its a great little family restaurant. Try the fish and chips or the gyro(its great!) A little pricey, but well worth it!!
Avoid Sam – Sam is extremeley rude. The food is OK. Our family has been customers there for over 15 years. He did not recognize me as it had been a few years since I had come in. He was overly inappropriate and he has lost our business. Be cautious of this place and the owner.
