Terrible Service & Bland Food – My husband and I love pizza so to celebrate our anniversary, we thought we'd treat ourselves to someplace nice in San Diego. It was a horrible experience. We waited 5-10 minutes before our server greeted us, the drinks were wrong (c'mon, it's just soda), she never checked on us so my husband had to go to the bar to remedy the drink situation. Good stuff – I visited Sammy's with my brother this weekend. Boy, were we impressed. This place is much better than the chain Calif. Pizza Kitchen in every way. The interior is nicely decorated and designed. The service was good without being in the way. The pizza and garlic cheese bread are outstanding and wine/beer selection are very good.
