I am a hospice nurse and helped to guide my dear friend as her mom was diagnosed with cancer and ultiimately chose to enter into hospice for end stage cancer. I am sad to report that this hospice did not meet what I consider to be standard hospice care. Jessica had asked more than once for an update related to what was going on with her mom and did not receive follow up calls when specificially requested (it's standard practice to keep family updated even without being requested unless it goes against patient's wishes). Karen and Carolyn out of Newport took amazing care of our dad in hospice. They put us at ease and made our dad comfortable. I would highly recommend them both.

The nurses both Lynn and Keeley took care of my husband for 5 days. When my husband passed they were ghosts. They didn't have the common courtesy to call and say I'm sorry for your loss. It was unbelievable. They are in the wrong line of work if they don't care about the patient they are supposed to be helping. I tried making excuses for their lack of compassion but their are no excuses. However, Missy the social working was and is great and the grievance counselors we're right their for me if I needed them. Everyone did a g... read more

I'm biased but caring and best hospice on the west coast! Maybe east coast too, but never been that far, and we are only in Oregon!
