Our volunteer Eiko made a tasty and fresh salad for our diabetes workshop class at Samaritan House Free Clinic in San Mateo. So many colors and textures - it had radishes, avocado, almonds, peppers, and artichoke hearts. We love creating easy and nutritious dishes for our clients. — at Samaritan House Free Dental Clinic of San Mateo.
This was our first class at the San Mateo clinic, and we had such a good turnout with attendance. During the hour class, diabetic patients learned about the diabetic MyPlate, tips on choosing whole grains, the importance of not skipping meals, and best fruit choices.
