Samantha Fish gets Entertainer of the year. She delivers much like a blend of Rickie Lee Jones and Robin Trower. Magical, intimate evening despite the cold and rain. Bravo. This is why Sam's is the go to venue for incredible music and fun.
I went to see Jimmie Vaughn and Tilt-a-Whirl. It was awesome!! The beer was a bit pricey but the venue was great!! I would definately go back. The room is very intimate for live music! With great acoustics! I'll be keeping an eye out for future shows!!
Went to Sam's last night for the first time to check out Jimmie Vaughn. Great performance, nearly 2 hours long (not including opening act). Sound was very good. Good drinks and the crowd not too crazy. Lately, when I enter a facility like Sam's my mind races to look at the nearest exit points. You can thank the recent news of club fires and shootings for this thought process. I decided to not stray too far from the exit door because there was only one. Love this place great food, and great live music!!
What an unexpected treat! This was an unplanned stop on our way to tour the San Antonio Museum of Art (also wonderful)! The burgers are more than filling, juicy, and with great flavor! The onion rings were also thick (but not too much), flakey, and very flavorful.� The only thing that could have been a bit more flavorful were the waffle fries. Food was not good, dry and tasteless and took way too long to get it to us. The concert was good, Slade Cleaves.
