After eating at Sal's regularly over the past couple of years, I had high hopes and expectations when I first heard that they would have a new expanded menu. I stopped in for dinner today at the new Sun Prairie location, and was happy to find that the food and atmosphere rivaled that of the many notable restaurants on the Capitol square. Tha best. Period. These folks know how to do pizza, and pretty much everything else, too! Attention to detail + creativity + good vibes + stellar environment = ya gotta be a fool to not love it. Fave joint in the greater Madison area, easily.

Everyone has been to a great restaurant in downtown Madison, but not everyone expects something great out of Sun Prairie. Every time that my family or friends come to visit, I take them to Salvatore's. The staff are always prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. The apps are great and the pizza is delectable! It's also great to see a restaurant that supports so many local farms and suppliers by using fresh, local ingredients. I will definitely be back!
The specialty was sold out at 7:00...one ingredient was sold out so they didn't make us the special. The wait staff was good once you got their attention. It was my first time there and I feel like for the food and price it should be nicer inside. I'd give it another shot.
