I spent countless hours on the spit on our boat and hanging out watching the commercial boats come in with their holds bursting with king crab or halibut! Great childhood memories.

Absolutely incredible atmosphere but I think the two bartenders might have had an off day they were a little bit on the snotty side and I couldn't understand that in such a happy place.

They say you haven't truly visited Alaska until you've visited The Salty Dawg and peed in the Yukon River. I don't need to pee, but I need my Salty Dawg!
When in Alaska you have to go to Homer and visit the Dawg.
Great place to hang out and drink a beer! A must see if your visiting Homer.
