I ate at Saltlik in Calgary a few months ago and the food was way better. No comparison. The Banff location was absolutely dead compared with other local Banff restaurants on a very busy Sunday. Water tasted like plastic, coleslaw was gross, calamari had a hair in it. I would never come back here again. Main entree I ordered was not available either (surprised as they only have a few entrees on the menu ).
The rib eye steak was extremely delicious, tender, tasty. The waiter was calm, effective and sympathetic. Some light music, not too loud for my hearing aids. That is, perfect!
Every single bite of every single item we ordered was phenomenal. It’s rare that I love everything like I did here. I want to eat here every day for the rest of my trip. Our apps included wagyu and French fries, we got Caesar’s and an elderflower spritz which were fantastic, I got a filet mignon and my husband got a full slab of ribs and we still managed to have room for dessert. I loved it all.
Very very salty, do not recommend. Price for value too high.
