Would not recommend Salt of the Earth Catering if you value communication. From the start they were awful with communication, and blamed it on being a small family owned business. After the contract was set, it took over two months to get Sherry to answer any questions I had after repeatedly asking. Two months out from our wedding I asked Sherry a few questions, and our wedding coordinator followed up with her when we were within a month. Worst experience ever.
As a bride planning my own wedding, I sought help and recommendations from friends and vendors as to who to look for when hiring my caterer. Salt of the earth was recommended to me by my venue, and two friends who had used them in the past when they got married. I started this search September of 2022 for my wedding October 2023. I reached out to Salt of the earth for my catering needs, in hind sight I should have shopped around a little before booking. After receiving our deposit in March for our December wedding, we have completely been ghosted. They took our money and disappeared. We have left numerous messages (when the mailbox is not full) sent many emails and there has been no response. They really made us think they were a reputable caterer...and clearly we were mistaken. And after seeing so many others experiences with them lately we should consider civil action
