It takes several months to get an appointment which must be made I person as they cannot be reached by phone. The automated system hangs up on you after waiting on hold fot a couple minutes 100% of the time. I live 40 miles away and can't drive to the clinic to set an appointment to be seen 3 months from now. Getting Community Care is a bureaucratic nightmare, but if you're persistent enough to get it, go that route! You'll die of old age trying to accomplish anything here.
I can't even get through to make an appt
The dental office program is a joke. The postcard they sent me gave me directions to the hospital, not the building they are located in. The building is on the far northeast side of the VA campas. By the time I realized this and figured out where the building was, I was late, and they canceled my appointment. There was no sorry for not providing me with proper directions, nor did they even offer to squeeze me in.
