I had an extremely uncomfortable dining experience at salt. I felt a general malaise and discomfort from both staff and patrons. My server was extremely blunt, short, and overall disrespectful. She refused to give eye contact, pleasantries, and any sense of a pleasant dining experience. I overall felt like I was being both judged, and ushered out. The servers were quite pleasant and the atmosphere very pretty. The cool breeze from the open air seating actually feels quite nice when mixed with the ambient noise of the Pearl Street crowds that walk by. I'm writing this review in hopes it reaches those staff members so they can hopefully escape whatever evil contract HELL they have been forced into which binds them to this restaurant. A small, intentional menu focused on quality and character. Amazing staff with an eye for details. Great, "casual" spot that takes their service and menu to a fine-dining level.
